Therapy for Teenagers

Deciding to seek support for your teenager is an important step, and it's natural to have questions about how it all works.

The process begins with a dedicated session for you as the parent or caregiver. This is a space to share your concerns, provide some background about your teenager, and talk through what you're hoping therapy might offer them, without your teenager present.

From there, your teenager will begin their own sessions. These are 50 minutes and held at a frequency that suits them and your family. Your teenager's sessions are their own space, one where they can be themselves and learn to explore what is happening for them.

Throughout the process, we'll schedule periodic parent sessions to keep you informed about the themes we're working on and how your teenager is progressing. These check-ins are designed to keep you meaningfully involved without disrupting the therapeutic relationship your teenager is building.
